As part of Hale’s Community Benefits funding linked to our development for Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association at Swansea Road, money has been invested directly into enhancing learning opportunities for local children.

The project has provided funding for a fantastic new outdoor classroom at Coed Y Dderwen Primary School. The result is a vibrant, purpose-built outdoor space where pupils can explore, create and learn, whilst cultivating a deeper connection with the environment.

Studies have shown that sensory rich outdoor learning enables students to thrive, by stimulating curiosity, boosting concentration and knowledge retention; whilst enhancing physical and mental wellbeing. Natural lighting and fresh air have also been proven to reduce stress, anxiety, and behaviour issues in children.

We’re delighted to have partnered with our client, Merthyr Tydfil Housing Association, and Coed Y Dderwen Primary School to bring this excellent project to life.
