Hale scoops four Bronze Considerate Constructors National Awards

After receiving nominations for four sites, Hale Group have recently received four Bronze Awards at the National Considerate Constructors Awards, held in Manchester. The Considerate Constructors Scheme recognises construction sites for outstanding performance within the following categories: Respecting the Community, Caring for the Environment, and Valuing the Workforce.

 

The developments in receipt of an award included:

 

 

The Redevelopment of County Flats

Client: Tai Tarian

Value: £13.6million

Units: Energy-efficient redevelopment of the existing 72 apartments, and creation of a further 55 (split across five blocks)

Sustainable features: EPC A, PV, closed panel timber frame insulated with Welsh Sheep’s wool and Welsh Timber, and Electric Vehicle Chargers.

Client: Hafod Housing

Value: £3million

Units: 44 apartments split across three storeys

Sustainable features: PV and low-carbon timber frame.

 

 

Affordable homes at Glan yr Ithon

Client: Newydd Housing

Value: £21million

Units: 134 in total, incorporating flats, bungalows and houses 

Sustainable features: SUDs ponds, swales, and excellent air testing results.

 

 

Former Iorwerth Jones Centre

Client: Cardiff City Council

Value:

Units: 20 affordable homes

Sustainable features: Air source heat pumps, fabric first approach, and EPC A.
