A poignant milestone was recently marked at our Pencefnarda Farm development, as we proudly unveiled the “Ffordd Morgan” street sign, and celebrated the first few homes ready for handover to Pobl Group.
When complete, Ffordd Morgan, will provide 44 new homes for affordable rent, nestled within the community of Gorseinon, Swansea.
Driven by strong community support, the development name is a tribute to the legacy of Morgan Ridler. To support families affected by childhood cancer, Morgan’s parents, Natalie and Matthew, have set up Morgan’s Army in his memory .
Morgan’s Mother, Natalie Ridler, shared her appreciation for the tribute, saying,
“We as Morgan’s family are delighted that the community wanted to provide this lasting tribute to our boy, who touched so many lives during his short time with us. He was a Gorseinon boy through and through, and now his name will live there forever. As a Gorseinon based charity we are delighted to have this landmark in our local community, and now part of the local history. What a legacy. Thank you to all at Pobl and Hale for this beautiful gesture, we hope that the new residents live very happy and fulfilling lives here, filled with the same love and tenacity as Morgan was. He will be shining down on you all”.
A two-day fundraising event is being held at Gorseinon Rugby Club, on the 17th and 18th of May, raising vital funds for the charity. For more information around this wonderful charity, please visit the Morgan’s Army’s website.
