Two award wins and three shortlists in 24 hours for Gwynfaen🏆🎉

On Friday night, Gwynfaen was awarded the esteemed “Sustainability Award”, at the Constructing Excellence in Wales Awards, held at the Celtic Manor 👏😊.

The scheme for Pobl Group (now Codi) was also shortlisted for both the “Residential Project of the year over £5m”, and “Building Project of the year”.

The accolade follows the success of Thursday night’s “Residential Development of the year” win at the Insider Magazine Wales’ Property Awards 🥳. Gwynfaen was also nominated in the Sustainability Category.

So what makes the pioneering scheme so award winning? 🥁
– Designed by Rob Wheaton at Stride Treglown, each of the 144 ultra-low-carbon off-gas homes, were designed to maximise energy efficiency.
– One of Wales’ first IHP backed projects, Gwynfaen utilised offsite manufacturing from SO Modular Ltd.
– Constructed from Welsh timber, each home has an EPC A rating and benefits from Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV, EV charging and battery storage ♻️.
– Careful blend of placemaking with sustainable design.

Last week’s awards follow Gwynfaen’s success at the 2025 National Insider Housing Development Awards in London 🎊.

A special thank you to all involved with making the project such a success
