Thanks to the incredible collaboration between An from the Into Work Advice Service, and Sharon, who leads the programme at South Riverside Community Development Centre, Hale were able to bring something truly meaningful to life.
Hale’s Social Value Officer, Dionne Herbert, recently hosted a Canva workshop for local Micro-SMEs at the very start of their business journey, and the results were inspiring!
8 women from the Riverside and Ely communities joined us, many with dreams of starting their own: Cooking classes, Chai tea stands, Educational workshops and Tabletop sales.
The session covered practical digital design skills, including how to create leaflets, business cards, and more. Many of the participants shared how they plan to use their new Canva skills to support local churches, mosques, food banks, and schools; with flyers and promotional materials for community activities.
This initiative is part of Hale’s ongoing support for local MSMEs surrounding our Bute Street development, delivered in partnership with Cardiff Council.
